A native of Irving, Texas, Sharp worked for 12 years as a reporter at a small South Texas newspaper where he covered police, fire, EMS, city and county governments, education, county and district courts, and a host of other subjects.
Along the way, he trained with firefighters, rode with paramedics and even volunteered to be shot by a Taser (an experience he does not wish to repeat). These real-world experiences are the inspiration behind his novel, To See The Light.
